Prime Minister Modi faces terrorist threats during foreign visit.

Mumbai: The information about a terrorist threat call related to Prime Minister Modi's foreign visit surfaced late. An unidentified person reportedly called the Mumbai police control room, as per the police. The caller threatened to target the flight carrying Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The police immediately shared this information with security agencies. The person who made the call was taken into custody by Mumbai police on Wednesday. The police mentioned that the caller's mental state was not stable. They also stated that further investigation into the matter is underway. Prime Minister Modi departed for a four-day foreign visit on Monday. He is currently in France, where he attended an Artificial Intelligence conference.

After completing his visit to Paris, he will head to the United States today. He is scheduled to stay in the U.S. for two days, during which he is expected to meet with the newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump. On February 11, a phone call was received at the Mumbai police control room. The person on the other end of the call threatened that terrorists might attack the plane carrying Prime Minister Modi during his foreign visit. Given the seriousness of the information, we immediately alerted other investigative agencies. We have initiated an investigation to identify the caller, said the Mumbai police.
